Powerline PAB21X Ab Bench Review

I am very pleased with the Powerline Ab bench and would give it 5 stars if the steel was slightly heavier (not needed, but I guess I'm picky). The item was fairly easy to assemble and very intuitive to use. The back rest is adjustable and quickly slides up and down the rear support after loosening a thumbscrew. The back pad is VERY firm, yet comfortable. My 4 year-old son who weighs 45 lbs was jumping up and down on it before it was assembled and didn't even dent it. The curve felt quite natural and even comfortable on my back.
The handholds on the strap seem very sturdy and the strap itself seems to support the back of the head when doing the exercises. The pully is very strong and rolls quite smoothly.
I've loaded it up with 100 lbs for this workout using 25 lb plates (it holds both standard and olympic quite well) and felt no strain or give in the device (in me, well that's another story). One rep on the ab bench felt like 25 on the floor. I am a competitive powerlifter and am very happy to see that the ab bench can take some weight.
I am extremely happy with my purchase and wish I had made it earlier. I definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for greater core strength or has back problems that hinder their attempts at doing other abdominal exercises.

Gabrialla Breathable Elastic Abdominal Binder for Men, 12" wide Review

I purchased the Gabrialla Breathable Elastic Abdominal binder for Men (12 inch) "in the blind".Never had anything similar earlier and needed to regain some self-esteem after gaining 50 lbs in a year.

This product appears to be exactly what I had in mind.It is comfortable to wear, doesn't interfer with normal physical stretching, bending, and lifting. I wear this binder when working in my woodworking shop and also during social occasions. I am completely satisfied with this binder and plan to buy several more identical items to cover laundry time-outs.

SPRI Corfit Abs Trainer Review

There's not much to this product - it's a length of nylon mesh material backed with padding attached to two padded handles. You put it behind your neck when doing a crunch, and it keeps your neck properly aligned so you avoid neck and shoulder strains.

It works remarkable well. I've always had problems doing crunches since, despite all efforts to the contrary, my neck muscles get involved. I usually end up with a sore neck well before my ab muscles get a good workout. I've been avoiding crunches in favor of other ab routines but you can't beat the basic crunch for really working the abs.

This is an inexpensive, simple solution that works very well. Comfortable to use and the build quality seems adequate - certainly would not stand up to multiple users in a gym, but for one or two users at home it should last a good while.

If you're handy you could probably build one for a bit less than the purchase price. I have zero skills when it comes to sewing, so I just clicked and Amazon got it here ready to use.

The Bean Ultimate Abdominal Exerciser, Including DVD and Pump Review

I am very pleased, and got what I thought I was ordering. I have had a Bean for several years. It is the smaller style. I love the new design and contours. It is much more comfortable. Also, the inflator is much larger and easier to use. Product was shipped in a timely matter. Absolutely no complaints. However, my heart skipped when I saw a picture of the old Bean style on the box. When I opened it up, it was the one I was hoping to get. It is the only exerciser I have ever been able to use due to severe back problems. Most exercisers get me down really bad. The Bean is wonderful! I can watch TV listen to music, or whatever while exercising. I never get tired rocking back and forth. My back doesn't hurt either! That is because the confortable contours support my back where it needs it. If it will help to know, I am in my sixites and love this product.

The Bean Deluxe Combo and Flex 10 Ultimate Abdominal Exerciser Review

I've read some reviews of this item and think it deserves a positive rating. If you use it to do "sit-ups" and a "seriuos" workout you're missing the point. I bought it because of back problems and the inablility to do a "sious" workout. I found that using it more like a rocking chair than an ab bench works best.

The only complaint I had was this item ITA-MED Elastic Abdominal Binder, 3 Panels, still manages to roll at the top and the bottom. Perhaps if plastic inserts were inserted it would stop it. IAnyone who isn't flat as a board, or has a bit of roll around their waistline - it will roll... but all in all, it is worth it. You can breathe and wrap it as tight or loose as you want. See, I lost a lot of weight... as a male my breast need to be surgically reduced I can not afford it... so I use this... it would work for transgender females to males too... until your chest surgery was done... It's great for the waistline but if you aren't flat and have any rolls tires on the sides it will roll. Also, guys with a small beer belly... it would make oyu look great! Just make the size chart larger and more easier to click on... delivery is fast!

Slendertone Women's Flex Abdominal Toning System Belt Review

I have owned this belt for about 2 months now...i had an "ab belt" in high school and it only pulsed a lil...but this is the real deal....after ya reach like 15-20 on the intensity(that goes to 100) you can actually feel the muscles contract.The package says to use it for 30 min a day....but i find it so easy and comfertable i use it at least 80min a day.

I have gone from a generally height/weight prop, with little definition....tonow i can actually see where my stomache actually "cuts" inwards....it looks so good....and all i do is watch my food intake(no junk)

As for a complaint in a review below...
1) i have never had a problem with batteries......same batteries for over two months...used everyday for at least 80min
2) The pads....i have found that if you make sure to properly place them, yes the stickyness wears off after about 30 uses...but that is only used to hold in place....THE BELT IS VELCRO!!!!!!!!!no need to always be sticky.....i just use a water base lube to keep the contact uniform across the pads....works like new pads.....never had a problem

p.s.its so easy to use i try to wear it whenever i am on my computer...matter of fact...its on right now:)I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I purchased the Gabrialla Breathable Elastic Abdominal binder for Men (12 inch) "in the blind".Never had anything similar earlier and needed to regain some self-esteem after gaining 50 lbs in a year.

This product appears to be exactly what I had in mind.It is comfortable to wear, doesn't interfer with normal physical stretching, bending, and lifting. I wear this binder when working in my woodworking shop and also during social occasions. I am completely satisfied with this binder and plan to buy several more identical items to cover laundry time-outs.

Weider 200 Power Tower Review

The Weider 200 is available through Amazon, but for $149.00, delivered, Bayou Fitness offers a better deal. The 200 is rugged, solid, and is rated for persons weighing up to 300 lbs, compared to 200-250 lbs. for similarly priced units.

I already own a Weider Max (i.e. Crossbow), which I'm happy with, but I wanted something that would allow me to do pull-ups and the captain's chair exercise. I hate doing crunches, and a study by the Biomechanics Lab at San Diego State University ranked the captain's chair as the most effective exercise for working the obliques and second most effective for working the rectus abdominus. The 200 works well for these and related exercises. I don't use it for pushups, but the awkwardly placed lower crossbar could be a problem.

Time from order to deliver by Fed. Ex. Ground was about 10 days. The instructions are straightforward and assembly took about an hour.As with the Max, the instructions state a rubber mallet and two people are required for assembly. The mallet is unnecessary, and never again mentioned in the instructions, and I had no difficulty assembling it by myself. You will require two wrenches and a screwdriver, however.

Another reviewer commented that it doesn't take up a lot of space. I suppose the concept of "a lot of space" is relative, but the 200 isn't something that, like the Max, can be folded up and stored against the wall or in a corner. It's pretty big, and moving it to a different room will require partial disassembly, so plan on assembling it where you intend to use it.

Ab Trainer Original Review

The actual exercise is quite painless, but you can really tell that your abs are being worked!

My biggest complaint is that the instructions for assembly were less than clear, so I worked a lot off of the picture on the box, which was less helpful than it could have been. Basically, the little spacers that aren't mentioned in the instructions go between the frame and the arm pads.

I recommend this equipment!

Ita-med Elastic Abdominal Binder, 3 Panels Review

Yes, this bunches up. And I knew that going in. I just didn't realize that I would turn into a whiner. ha ha. I pulled it down so low that it covered my underwear. That worked until I had to use the toilet. Then it was a hassle. I also wore it over an undershirt so that it wouldn't itch me. Anyway, it just got too complicated for me to use for more than a couple of weeks. It did suck in my post baby muffin top, though. I also lost some weight and that helped. I may take my sewing machine to it and make it smaller. That MAY give it the thickness/reinforcement it would need in some areas to help it to not bunch up.

Bender Ball Mini Ab Ball Review

I got the Bender Ball for my daughter for Christmas.She likes it a lot, and still uses it.I've used it a couple of times, and it does seem to make doing crunches a little more comfortable.

However, if you order from their website, be very careful to opt OUT of this special program they have.It's very deceptive, in my opinion - I never noticed that I was "signing up" for this, until the DVDs started to arrive and I began noticing charges on my credit card.The first time I tried to call and cancel, I called 4 separate times from different phones, and they kept telling me they "couldn't hear me", although I could hear them fine.

I disputed the charges on my credit card, and as of today I talked to an actual person and cancelled the program.I have sent the DVDs back and am reasonably optimistic that the charges will go away eventually, but I'll still be out the postage to send these stupid things back.
