The actual exercise is quite painless, but you can really tell that your abs are being worked!My biggest complaint is that the instructions for assembly were less than clear, so I worked a lot off of the picture on the box, which was less helpful than it could have been. Basically, the little spacers that aren't mentioned in the instructions go between the frame and the arm pads.
