Gabrialla Maternity Support Girdle-Panty with Adjustable Band (light support) Review

I started using this in my 6th month of pregnancy. I definitely liked the pelvic support and felt more energized wearing it. However, the velco straps in the back would dig in after a few hours, so I would tuck a camisole in under the girdle. I have thick thighs, and the lace at the bottom would dig in too, so I would use an extra long camisole. As far as pregnancy girdles go, this is probably one of the more comfortable ones, and does provide good support, but does need probably looser elastic at the thigh and better lining.

Champion Back and Abdominal Exercise Bench Gym Equipment Review

Excellent piece of equipment for the money. I bought it from [...] for [...] plus tax(paid tax only because it was sent from a Texas based company and I live in the Houston area) with free shipping.The pictures are a little deceiving.It shows to be a one piece all weld construction, but it's not.The leg stem and the section with the seat and handles bolt to the horseshoe shaped base.But once I put together, it is solid a rock.It took a whole 15 minutes to put together and that was with my 4 yr old trying to help me.
When they advertise that it will not topple over, it surely will NOT do that.It's very stout, unlike some of the $300 and $400 units you get that will get wobble after a few years of use.Also, It has a good powder coating.The padding in the picture they use looks cheap, but what you actually get is not.They use thick padding in the seat and rollers with a good/thick vinyl cover.

To sum it all up:It would be nicer if the leg piece was "up and down" adjustable, but works great as is.It's like the old style roman chair/hyperextension in the high school gym back in the 80's.And one more thing: The packaging was pretty beat up and opened and therefore was scruffed up a bit.Waiting to hear back from [...] about that.

Hope this is a helpful review.I tried to find one, but couldn't.So, I thought I would put one out there.

ITA-MED 3 panel Elastic Abdominal Binder (Standart Elastic, 9" wide) Review

I was recently introduced to abdominal binders in the hospital after the birth of my twins.A nurse suggested I ask my doctor to get one for me and it was covered by my insurance.I love it.However as my middle shrank from using it I needed one smaller than 30" so I ordered this one via Amazon because it was the only one I could find that fit below a 30" and looked just like the one I had.Compared to my first one, by dj orthopedic LLC, this one (ITA-Med) is very stiff.It is elastic, but because I had surgery it is not comfortable to wear over the incision area yet and I think it would cut into my thighs when sitting.Perhaps when that area heals I will try it again.Presently I wear it higher over the other one.It helps my posture, holds in the upper area.
I much prefer my first binder for comfort and realized after ordering this that my old binder can keep adjusting to a smaller size because the velcro can stick to the elastic part too. Oh well.
Overall, I highly recommend abdominal binders after giving birth, especially after a c-section.I can't tell you how much it helped me to get active right away and I didn't feel like my guts were falling out like I did with my first c-section and no binder, but this one isn't the most comfortable.I would get the dj orthopedic one.
I also received this one quickly in the mail, like under one week.
One more downer is that I saw no way to return it.There was no address or paper work in which to return it.

Top Contender Groin-Abdominal Protector Review

When I first got into boxing, I wanted to make sure I liked it before spending a ton of cash on gear.My coach said he would hook me up with a good entry-level set of equipment at low cost, so I gave him free reign to do so.One of the items I ended up with was the Top Contender (TC) Groin-Abdominal Protector.

He ordered me a Large, and the elastic strap fit around my 35" waist just fine.The TC is easy to slip on over shorts, and I never had to adjust the laces in back.My groin area and the section of my abs just above it were adequately protected.Also, it didn't restrict my movement around the ring.

However, as time went on and I got deeper into sparring, I decided I needed greater protection for my forty-year-old sides and kidneys (some of those young guys hit pretty hard, and the inexperienced ones get a bit wild).Plus, I wanted to wear what an actual boxer would have on during competition.And a belt with a hook and loop (Velcro) closure would be handy in case I wanted to adjust the fit.So, I retired my TC and traded up to the Ultimate Classic No-Foul Protector, also available from Ringside (see my review of it for more details).

The Top Contender Groin-Abdominal Protector is a fine entry-level guard for your nether regions.If you decide that boxing isn't your thing, you won't be out a lot of dough.But keep in mind that if you get seduced by the Sweet Science, you'll want to upgrade before long.

TKO Extreme Training Double Exercise Wheel Review

I used to have a training wheel made of steel. I lost it after 20 or so years while it was still as good as new. I expected similar quality here. However:
1) steel handle bar is thin. It holds my weight (I am about 140 pounds), but I seriously doubt it will be rigid enough for a 200 pound man.
2) wheels are made plastic and don't seem durable at all.
3) holes in the wheels don't match the diameters of the bar, there is significant slack. I had to apply plenty of grease in order to make the wheel roll more-or-less smoothly.

The bottom line is:
you can use it if you are not too heavy, but don't expect it to be very smooth and last very long.

Ab Circle Pro Review

I posted a review for this piece of junk that has now been removed.It's curious that all of the reviews that are now out there say the same thing and I find them highly suspect.
With less than an hour's use, the left kneepad had a lateral crack that ran across the mounting hole. By the time I sent an Email to report the problem, the Right kneepad cracked in almost the identical place.
The paint was flaking after the first use, and I at first thought that it was wax because it was sticking to the rollers, and making them not roll smooth, but after cleaning the rollers and wiping the unit down, I ccould see that the paint was coming off where the rollers were tracking. Note: the position of the rollers is welded, and unadjustable, and they are not centered on the rolling surface. All of the users weight rests on less than half of the roller surface.
The counter sets on a bracket that doesn't quite fit the slot it goes into, and after several reps on the machine, the counter fell off several times until I taped it in place.
The spacer bar for the arms that the kneepads set on, pops off, and you have to stop your exercise routine to put it back in place.
I posted pictures of what it looked like with only three weeks use, but they have now been pulled, and different pictures of models on the machines are in their place.
Don't waste Your money.

FLA 4-Panel Surgical Abdominal Binder, 12" Review

this four panel binder was pretty good for the first couple days, however after that the binder stretched out so much that it really didn't do what it was intended to do. I'm a quadriplegic and it did a nice job of being soft however it would roll up from the bottom as well as the top. Also after a couple days it started to stretch out almost to the point where it was a creating pressure all the way around. Not worth what I paid.

OSIM iGallop Core and Abs Exerciser Review

Fellow horseback riders, you'll want to own this fun machine!!After reading the reviews here on Amazon, I went to Brookstone to try one of these before buying.Not only did I come home with one, but so did my riding buddy.(They were on sale at considerably less than half the retail price of $600.)

It has 3 speeds of the same side-to-side/circular motion, plus a 4th setting that randomly goes through the 3 speeds.In all cases, the motion approximates the 4-beat, lateral gait of a horse who's walking or racking.

Speed One is like riding a large horse who has a very clunky walk.Speed Two speeds up and smooths out a bit.It's like riding a gaited horse who's not smooth enough to want to buy.Speed Three speeds up again and smooths out even more.Fold your arms and hold them up in front of your chest, keep your shoulders steady, absorb the motion in your hips, and you'll feel like you're racking down the road on a decent horse at a good clip.

I've had all sorts of exercise machines over the years, but nothing has ever been as fun as this.It seems effortless to ride, and yet, both my riding buddy and I were surprised (and delighted) to feel some stiffness in all sorts of muscles.It's also strengthening my back which was injured in a horse wreck years ago.

The DVD that comes with it shows many additional exercises that you can do while balancing on this thing (if you're young and agile!), but I'm just having fun horsebackin' in front of the TV!

UPDATE: I've had my iGallop more than 3 months now and I still love it.I ride a minimum of 30 minutes every day, and an hour whenever possible (this is easy to time as the machine automatically runs for only 15 minutes - to continue, just hit the start button again).I've lost more than 5 pounds and an inch from my waist and hips.I credit this largely to the iGallop since I haven't changed anything else in my diet or exercise program.

2nd UPDATE ALMOST A YEAR LATER:I still love this machine, but am now on my second one thanks to my having purchased an extended warranty (doubling the original 12 months to 24).Six weeks shy of my one-year purchase date, my iGallop suddenly made noise, smelled of smoldering plastic and flopped loosely (and, no, I'm petite, so my weight didn't wreck it [grin]).I took it to Brookstone and they were wonderful about replacing it on the spot, leaving me with 13 months to go on the same warranty should I need yet another replacement(s).Soooo, moral of the story is; if you're offered an extended warranty, you may want to consider it.

First, I bought the ab belt for my daughters and me for Christmas.I was skeptical, but lo and behold, they work!Next came the arms system, and we like it, too.I bought this product because I felt that the tightening effect would feel good on my lower back and hips, after being on my feet all day at work.Once I can get it on, it is a great massage.The design, however, is bulky, and not easy to get in place.The gel pads keep sticking to other parts of the "skirt", and my body, while I'm trying to get it in place.By the time I'm done fighting with it, and making sure the pads have stayed in place on the unit, and are positioned on my body where I want them, I feel that it's just not worth it.I do think it probably works, because it does have a strong pulse, but it's poorly designed, unless you have someone to help you get it on.The extra wear and tear on the pads is a bummer, too, because they are expensive.All of the Slendertone replacement pads are expensive.It's like buying that reasonably priced printer, then paying up the wazoo for ink cartridges!!
