I was recently introduced to abdominal binders in the hospital after the birth of my twins.A nurse suggested I ask my doctor to get one for me and it was covered by my insurance.I love it.However as my middle shrank from using it I needed one smaller than 30" so I ordered this one via Amazon because it was the only one I could find that fit below a 30" and looked just like the one I had.Compared to my first one, by dj orthopedic LLC, this one (ITA-Med) is very stiff.It is elastic, but because I had surgery it is not comfortable to wear over the incision area yet and I think it would cut into my thighs when sitting.Perhaps when that area heals I will try it again.Presently I wear it higher over the other one.It helps my posture, holds in the upper area.I much prefer my first binder for comfort and realized after ordering this that my old binder can keep adjusting to a smaller size because the velcro can stick to the elastic part too. Oh well.
Overall, I highly recommend abdominal binders after giving birth, especially after a c-section.I can't tell you how much it helped me to get active right away and I didn't feel like my guts were falling out like I did with my first c-section and no binder, but this one isn't the most comfortable.I would get the dj orthopedic one.
I also received this one quickly in the mail, like under one week.
One more downer is that I saw no way to return it.There was no address or paper work in which to return it.
